The
beginning of Clearwater Biker Motorcycle Club.
On
March 15, 2001
the first clearwaterbiker website was created in
Clearwater
Florida
United States.
The website
was created for sportbike riders in the general Tampa Clearwater
Area. Every Saturday night sport bike riders had met up at "The Lot"
On Gulf to bay blvd in
Clearwater.
There was
just a new beginning with the websites and my space did not exist
back then. VB Portals and Yahoo forums were the start up of
clearwaterbiker in 2001. Through the years
Clearwater
biker became synonymous with the sport bike community and was
traveling around the state on stunt shows and also charity events.
Clearwaterbikers were known from
Clearwater
to Daytona as crazy night riders with stunts and illegal street
racing all over the greater Tampa Area. We were featured in papers
and on TV as the Motorcycle madmen. We got a bad reputation and soon
more and more sport bike riders were doing stunts on the streets.
The problem became too much when police started to arrest anyone
with a sport bike for no reason at all. In 2004 the clearwaterbiker
movement was moving over to hog fish grill just down the street and
we were trying to make a better event out of Saturday nights.
Unfortunately bad apples from different riding groups created drag
strips around the facility and we were once again kicked out. In
2005 and 2006 a lot of sport bike rider’s young sport bike riders
died on our roads and by running like madmen on the streets and with
no protections. From 2006 to end of 2007
Clearwater
biker was dormant and trying to rechange the value of
Clearwater
biker. In October 2007 Leif Oskarsson founder of CWB met with Ebony
Riders in
Tampa
and suggested a merger for the good of there group and ours. Pierre
with past experience of running a motorcycle club but did not
like there name decided to help Leif with the refining and revamping
of Clearwater Biker and to create a real Motorcycle Club and to
stand for safety and unity and Brother Hood in Clearwater Florida.
In 2008 the
merger was dismissed and CWB with its new logo and board and club
members at 20 vested members and 10 prospects now is continuing
without Ebony Riders 3 members.
A chapter in
Stockholm
Sweden
is at this present time under construction and is expected to be up
by the end of April 2008 with 5 vested members. We have choen
the classic old oval logo and with no rockers or MC on our Vests.
